The world is moving at a fast pace in the consumption of non-renewable natural resources, causing several ecological problems. search for cost reduction by implementing renewable energies implies optimization manufacturing processes parameters consolidated technologies, such as solar thermal energy collectors. One applications selective surfaces to improve performance absorbers. purpose this work produce coatings with high absorption range UV/Vis and low emittance IR range. It was prepared surface composed ilmenite deposited on substrates AISI 304 stainless steel using technique cathodic cage plasma nitriding/deposition application Ilmenite initially characterized X-Ray Diffractometry (XRD), Fluorescence (FRX) Thermal Analysis (TGA). produced were optically UV/Vis/IR data roughness films obtained Optical Profilometry.
